KHAIRPUR: Deputy Inspector General of Sukkur Range police Syed Feroze Shah along with Khairpur SSP Azafar Mahesar visited the house of Muhammad Younus Kanhar, a martyred policeman, at Hassu Kanhar village. A week ago, Younus was martyred in an encounter near Faiz Muhammad Bino village, according to the police. The deputy inspector general announced two jobs for the heirs of the late policeman and the compensation of five million rupees. On behalf of the Police Department, the deputy inspector general announced that the full monthly salary would be released to his heirs till the retirement date of the deceased policeman. On the occasion, he said that he has come to offer his tributes and condolences to the martyred soldier. He offered prayers (Fateha) for the departed soul.
Four cops injured in road accident: On Tuesday, at least four policemen got hurt in an accident near Mirpur Mathelo. The mobile pickup of the patrolling party of the Mirpur Mathelo police fell into road side on the national highway. Noor Hassan Rind, Allah Wasayo Chachar, Abdul Shakoor and Ghulam Rasool Jalbani injured in the accident.
Kid drowned in Lundi Lake: A five-year-old child drowned in the Lundi Lake near Ubaro. Fahad Koosh was playing at the path of Lundi Lake near village Rangpur of taluka Ubaro when suddenly he slipped and fell into the lake and drowned. His body was recovered after few hours.
