KOTLI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Saturday asked Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to step down until an investigation into the Panama leaks exonerates him from all the charges. Addressing a rally in Kotli, the PPP chairman said that his party will no longer remain quiet on the Panama leaks. He said the government will not be able to complete its constitutional term as it was going through a turbulent period and that the “Raiwind throne” seemed shaking. “Mian Saab’s days are numbered,” he said. Bilawal said that the wall of deception was about to fall and that PML-N’s demise will begin from Kashmir and reach Islamabad. The PPP chairman said that Kashmir is the symbol of struggle in the entire world. He said that peace in South Asia will result in peace in the Middle East as well. He criticised the United Nations (UN) regarding its inability to get the Kashmir issue resolved. The UN has passed resolutions regarding Kashmir however it has failed to implement those resolutions, he said, and added that the global community has turned a blind eye towards the Kashmir issue. He said that unarmed Kashmiris and Palestinians were being subjected to atrocities. Bilawal said that the PM has not condemned the violence that is being carried out on Muslims in Held Kashmir. He stated that the PPP endorsed the efforts of the Kashmiris. “Whenever I speak of the Kashmiris, Modi government and the India media start propaganda (against me),” he said. Bilawal said that the funds of the Kashmir Council were being distributed in the PML-N members by rulers sitting in Islamabad. He said that fake voter lists were being produced by registering the votes of non-Kashmiri people. Bilawal said an ‘action replay’ of the 2013 elections was likely to be seen in the current scenario as PML-N was an expert in rigging. He said that the prime minister was indulged in business, not politics. He has become the prime minister of the country for the third time but has not been able to become a leader, he said, and added that the PM does not pay attention towards education sector as it does not involve the use of steel through which he would redouble his own profits. Bilawal said that the Orange Line project was the world’s most expensive project. He also compared the budget set for the project (Rs 162 billion) with that of Kashmir’s annual budget (Rs 68 billion). He promised the Kashmiri people that what seems a distant dream now will become a reality when PPP came into power.
