ISLAMABAD: The joint parliamentary session on Thursday resumed discussions on the Kashmir issue, Indian violations of human rights in Occupied Kashmir and its ceasefire violation along the Line of Control (LoC).
According to Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Abdul Qayyum, long-term peace in the region was not possible unless the Kashmir issue was resolved. Pakistan will continue political, moral and diplomatic support to Kashmiris – and all other oppressed nations of the world – he maintained.
Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Syed Naveed Qamar said that the entire nation would stand united against any foreign aggression and called for a foreign policy that highlights ‘what India is doing in Kashmir’ on a worldwide level.
Ilyas Ahmed Bilour – leader of Awami National Party (ANP) – said that the freedom movement in Kashmir is totally indigenous and also called for an effective foreign policy to strengthen relations with neighbouring countries.
