Leader of the Opposition in Senate, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Senator Aitzaz Ahsan has said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government was digging a ditch for itself because of its stubbornness.
In an interview on Sunday, Ahsan said that the PML-N had the option to either choose democracy or the office for Nawaz Sharif and the government’s recent steps – to stop Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) rally has created anarchy in the country and rebellion among the masses – points towards the latter.
Aitzaz warned that the ruling party should accept the four demands of the PPP or get ready for a long march as it would be better for Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his government to accept the Terms of References (ToRs) of the Opposition or he would lose his government.
The PPP senator said the nation had decided to take away the corrupt rulers and the ruling party’s leaders need to turn away from their stubbornness – to save themselves as well as the country.
